Tasting Notes

"Notes of Campari, red liquorice and boysenberry. On the palate – bright, fresh and bursting with juvenile charm." - Tim Shand, Head Winemaker

Vintage note: 2021 was a mild and generous vintage. Plentiful frosty nights and heavy rains in winter delayed budburst. Flowering in cabernet franc in late spring occurred during a glorious run of warm weather. As a result the fruit grew and matured evenly. A wonderful ripe crop this year. 60 % whole bunch fermented; 40% whole berry. Blended and bottled young to capture its vibrancy as a spring pinot. Made with Cru Beaujolais as an inspiration. Picked in the red fruit spectrum. Unfined, vegan friendly, minimal filtration. Minimal preservatives added.
