Tasting Notes
"Marion’s is a 40 year old vineyard in the Tamar Valley. 230 dozen produced.
I liked it instantly because it put me in mind of Nebbiolo. It’s limpid and medium-bodied, but the weightiest of the 2019 trio. Ripe cherry, baking spices, almost a liquorice root thing happening, and some floral perfume. Tannin presents firmly, but smoothly, tightly-knit and graphite feel, coolness, then warm plum and cherry flavour pushing out a long finish. Jim’s made Marion blush a little in 2019." - 95 points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
