"No wines from the Chatto property were produced from the 2019 vintage as the grapes were rooted by smoke taint. This is a blend of three vineyards in the north of Tasmania. Two from the West Tamar, and one from Pipers River.
Spice, a bit of that classic Chatto autumn leafy reduction layering in some complexity, red cherry, a pretty chamomile tea top note. It’s medium-bodied, fresh and lively, clarity of fruit, feels precise and clearly drawn with its lines of ‘mineral’ acidity, a lick of firm emery board tannin, and a lovely little pop of ripe cherry and dried herb on a long cool finish. Tasmania has been good to Jim in 2019." - 95 points, Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
