Made from 20-year-old vines in the “Cote Blonde” area, sitting on schist and clay. “Les Grandes Parcelles” is consider a baby Cote Rotie, and in some vintage it even includes a small amount of declassified Cote Rotie fruits. Hand harvested, partially destemmed, followed by traditional vinification. Aged in barrels.
Violets, black pepper, black cherries and blackberries jump out of the glass. Earthy and spicy notes from the partial use of whole bunch berries during vinification. The palate offers intense black cherries, more blackberries, fine tannins, ripe and balanced fleshy texture. Long fresh and savoury finish.
