Owner Simonetta Valiani inherited the Le Chiuse estate in 1986 and through the encouragement of her uncle, Franco Biondi-Santi, she began producing Brunello di Montalcino under their own label. Prior to the establishment of Le Chiuse as a standalone estate, these vines were used for Biondi-Santi’s top riserva wines. The estate is now managed by Simonetta and Nicolo's son Lorenzo who has reached great heights for his viticulture and winemaking skills.
"Aromas of woodland berry, new leather, blue flower and a baby powder shape the enticing nose on this fragrant red. Juicy and bright, the polished, delicious palate doles out crushed raspberry, cherry compote and baking spice alongside taut, refined tannins. Fresh acidity keeps it balanced while a licorice note graces the finish." - 98 Points, Kerin O'keefe Wine Enthusiast
