"The 2022 Hattenheim Schützenhaus Riesling Kabinett is visually presented in a delicate light yellow with green reflections. A slight minerality, green and yellow fruits, some tarragon and hints of white flowers captivate the nose and underline the elegant character of the wine. Fresh and very clear aromas of tropical fruits , cantaloupe melon and Rangpur lime are convincing on the palate. Delicate melting with a lot of balance. The exciting interplay of fine acidity and subtle fruit sweetness rounds off the taste of the 2022 Hattenheim Schützenhaus Riesling Kabinett and gives it a pleasant drinking flow where every sip is a pleasure.
The grapes are selected and harvested by hand and transported to the winery in small bins. This is followed by a 12-hour mashing period to extract the aromatic substances before they are cooled down. Before spontaneous fermentation begins, the mash maceration takes place. Whole grapes are put into the tank and fermented. After fermentation, the wine is stored in stainless steel tanks and wooden barrels for about 7 months. The wines from this location are characterized by a fine acidity with delicate aromas and lots of extract.
