"Harvested at night. 100% destemmed. Fermented wild on skins for 7 days. Hand plunged twice daily. Gently pressed to stainless steel for 3 months maturation. Full and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Hyper-active, raspberry ripple. Our 2023 toZzo Sangiovese screams back onto the scene, fat-bellied and rambunctious. This Italian treasure gestures with both hands. Emphatic black pepper plays nice with rhubarb. This is a quaffer of quality designed for liberal pouring, dripped over a tablecloth you don’t care all that much about.
On the nose, raspberries, cracked pepper and rhubarb. The palate of luscious acidity gets the mouth watering as the flavours of forest berries dance merrily across the tongue ending in delightfully chewy velvety tannins.
