- The Palmer & Co. Style -

"Expression of a very special art combining technical precision with harmony, the Palmer & Co style is characterised by its elegance and balance. It is expressed fully after a long maturing period in our chalk cellars 18 metres below the ground. Dominated by the freshness and purity of its Chardonnays, the Palmer & Co style is seductive through its precision and clarity. The grace and power of the Pinot Noir, the generosity of the Pinot Meunier and the significant contribution made by reserve wines confer a rich fullness and rare maturity." - Notes from the House

"Palmer Brut Reserve is based on a selection of wines from the best vineyards in the Champagne region. The Premiers and Grands Crus from the Montagne de Reims area predominate and lend their distinctive personality to these wines. Citrus, pear and apricot aromas with discrete notes of hazelnut and buttery brioche. Succulent and substantial with an unfettered freshness. A model of balance and elegance. Succulent and substantial to the palate, yet with an unfettered freshness, this wine is eminently seductive: a model of perfect balance." - House Notes

Pie crust and cooked apple with candied lemon and dried pear on the nose. Full-bodied with a creamy texture and layers of subtle fruit. Solid, yet agile. Mineral tint to this. Oyster shell, too." - 92 Points, JamesSuckling.com

"An archetypal Montagne de Reims cuvée, yet interestingly one which includes a small majority of Chardonnay in the blend. Over 35% of reserve wines, from a variety of sources/vessels, allied to four years' ageing ensure that this is impressive indeed. Yeasty grip and mid-palate weight cannot conceal an almost floral elegance here, with subtle notes of hazelnut and brioche rounding out the ensemble." - 91 Points, Simon Field MW, Decanter
