"Our Brut Nature invites you to play the game of differences: plain terroir has been transcribed here by the House. This cuvee has a longer ageing of one year on lees, and through this develops aromas of ripe fruits, gingerbread and honey. Pair with sushis or a salad with fresh oranges!" - House Notes

"This house was established in the late 1940’s by Albert Levasseur and now run by son David, in Cuchery (Vallée de la Marne).  He has 3 sustainable certifications and is very proud of his organic wines.  This Rue du Sorbier is from his oldest plot planted in 1973. It has zero dosage – and the nose reflects lemon-grass, freshly cut wheat and white lupins. The palate conveys some citrus, yellow plums and pears. Apple tartin is very obvious as well as freshly baked croissant, and then  develops to some glacé fruits like pineapple. A slightly bitter streak appears similar to grapefruit and its pith, as well as green apple -  followed by almonds with their skins. Lemon meringue pie shines brightly along with hint of lychee. It has a lovely 'beading' when poured, and the finish is sprinkled with a fine layer of white pepper. It has many rustic characters, and would be ideal for a country picnic - especially paired with terrine on crunchy sourdough bread." - Bernadette O'Shea, Champagne Consultant, TWE
