Description
"A plot selection within the Premier Cru “Le Clos du Roy”, “La Favorite” is vinified and aged separately to offer a unique experience. The vines benefit from a South and South-West exposure on clay-limestone soil and white marl. Unlike Clos du Roy, the grapes are less juicy but more concentrated in aromatic components. The latter will deliver all their richness thanks to aging for at least 5 years.
This intense wine has a dark ruby color and gives off aromas of small black fruits, spices and woody notes on the nose. On the palate, its perfect balance between aromatic richness and tannins makes it a fleshy and delicious wine, with exceptional length." - Winemaker Note
