"100% Koonunga Shiraz from the Old Becker Vineyard in the Northern Barossa Valley district of Koonunga. This vintage was thought to have been planted in either the 1860s or 1870s. Ancestor Vine. Deep purple, beautifully rich blueberry and blackberry fruit, earth and spice, great generosity, full and ripe backed by firm line of fine tannin. This wine is just starting its journey and will improve for many years." - Winemaker Notes
"Sourced from the Becker Vineyard in Koonunga, way up in the north of the valley, now managed by Adrian Hoffmann. Pop your schnozz in the glass here, and it could be nothing but Barossa shiraz with deep, resonant macerated satsuma plum fruits, some blackberry pastille, hints of fruitcake, dark chocolate, olive tapenade, pan juices, licorice and earth.
