Description
"Pencil shavings, herbal-floral notes and plenty of bright fruit spark the nose of the 2016 Emily's Paddock Shiraz Cabernet Franc. Full-bodied and richly textured, it's a creamy, supple, tannic cocktail of blueberry, plum and raspberry fruit layered over deep, earthy notes of tapenade and espresso. Despite its hefty alcohol (labeled at 15.5%), there's no discernible heat, just a big, sexy beast that deserves some time in the cellar." - 94 Points, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate
"Deep red colour with a tint of purple. The bouquet shows chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla and mixed spices, with evidence of fruit-shrivel. The palate big and grippy, with lots of oaky tannins and robust structure. It is very ripe: bordering on 'dead fruit'. A traditional big Aussie shiraz which demands time to soften and mellow. It is certainly concentrated, powerful and massive. Cellar it!" - 93 Points, Huon Hooke, The Real Review (reviewed May 2018)
