Description

"The “Les Caillerets” leaps out of the glass with explosive mineral tones, orchard fruit and charred quince. Joseph Colin initially trained at Domaine Marc Colin, working alongside his brother, Pierre-Yves, to make the family wines. In 2016, Joseph decided to create his own Domaine, and, subsequently, inherited just over six hectares of vineyards from his family holding, representing about nineteen different appellations, to start his exciting new venture. "Les Caillerets" 1er Cru is from a 0.36-ha vineyard with vines ranging from 40 to 100 years old. Six barrels were produced in 2018." - Cloc Cachet, Importer

"Pale lemon and lime. The bouquet is clearly riper here, yet the slight honeysuckle aromatics are underlaid by a more classical stony profile. White fruit through the middle and then terrific grip to finish. This is more backward in its development but promises extremely well. Exceptional persistence. Drink from 2028-2033." 93-96 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy.
