"Purple, crimson with a dense centre and a youthful edge. Bouquet of blackberries, mulberries and cherries with hints of charry oak. Full bodied palate with black cherries, vanilla and leather characters. The fruit is solid and tightened by oak and tannin in its youth. With cellaring, the oak will lay down and the fruit will prevail. Pair with slow cooked roast meat or rich stews." - Winemaker Notes
"It’s plush, seductive and laden with sweet, ripe fruit but the alcohol is under control and it feels beautifully well balanced throughout. There’s a good deal of sawdusty, cedary oak here too but it’s meshed perfectly with the fruit and just feels right in context anyway. WOMS is in excellent form here. The fruit tastes of black jelly beans and blackberry with peppercorn and sweet spice drifted through. The tannin is both fine and assertive.
