Description
"Grown on our Bendigo vineyard in Central Otago and matured in French oak barrels (1/3 new). 2018 is elegant and complex displaying red berry fruits, plum, spice and savoury characters. Fine tannins and lucious fruit flavours stay long on the palate. Drinking well now and will age well for many years." - Winemaker Notes
"A different iteration of Central Otago Pinot Noir to the usual. The colour is less Otago bold and concentrated, coming in lighter hues of red. Offers confection-flecked aromas in musk joined by red berries, earth, black pepper and cassia bark. The role of spice and, in particular, a distinctive peppery drive also marks the wine as less traditional Otago. Amid all of the rich, ripe black cherry and plum fruit, that splash of pepper brings a shift in gears, adding real lift and life to the wine. However, rest assured, the regional stamp of texture and generosity remains fully intact." - 92 Points, Jeni Port, Wine Pilot
