"This Bushvine Grenache was sourced from a single vineyard in Blewitt Springs, a sub-region of McLaren Vale. 60% crushed and 40% destemmed and cold soaked for 3-5 days to allow the polymerisation of the natural tannins to preserve their character. As a result, the Grenache has a deeper colour than normal along with flavours that have developed during their 14-day primary fermentation that followed. Aged entirely in seasoned French oak hogsheads for 22 months, thus the result is a Grenache that is full of depth and varietal character that is typical of McLaren Vale. Aromas of violets, rose petals, confectionary on the nose with spice and lush, velvet silky tannins that persist on the back palate. The wine was made without any filtration or fining to preserve the natural silky tannins." - Winemaker Notes
