It’s dense and tightly packed, a mass of fine-grained graphite tannin, pencilly too, like so many of the best Cabernets, with succulent red and black fruit, pitch-perfect acidity, a distinctly ‘mineral’ feel here, some tobacco and umami flavours in the mix, and a finish that really pushes long and makes it so convincing.
