"From three distinct areas within the valley, a mix of our own vineyards, supplemented with a few growers - which have now evolved into new leased sites for us. Another warm and generous year keep us busy, as a lovely summer moved quickly to an early harvest. We started as early as ever in the Tamar, eyeing off freshness above all as sugars moved quick. We were light handed in the winery and eered on the side of caution in terms of whole bunch until we could see how things were unfolding. The earlier parcels were pretty and fragrant, and as we move through our parcels we looked for more structure and spice. TMV is such a lovely puzzle to put together each year, and this vintage shows how useful plots in different parts of the valley can be, chiseling out a classical rendition of this cuvee. 11 months in oak, 10% whole bunch across the blend." - Winemaker Notes
