"With its 71 localities, the Moulin-à-Vent appellation is rich in history. Recognized as the premier cru of Beaujolais in 1924, it was sold at the same price as a Vosne-Romanée 1er cru until the dawn of the Second World War. On my plot, the old vines were planted in 1950 and 1911 on the "Les Michelons" climat in the heights of Moulin a Vent. The vines form an enclosure surrounded by a low stone wall and poppies. A setting that I preserve daily. Red meats in sauce, game, regional dishes, spicy dishes, goat cheese, dark chocolate or coffee desserts." - Producer Notes
