Description
"Brightly aromatic with lifted fruit aromas of dark cherry, wild strawberry and pomegranate, leading to hints of earth and savoury spice and an element of fine oak toast in the background. The palate is generously fruited with morello cherry and raspberry flavours, and the tannins are supple yet savoury and intermingle with the fruit layers. A bright line of cranberry-like acidity pulls it everything together. Fine, long and intricately detailed this wine can be drunk now but will gain further complexity with medium term cellaring." - Winemaker Notes
Another very fine Pinot from Kooyong, sourced from their Balnarring and Tuerong vineyards. A vibrant garnet hue. Spices, some earthy notes intertwined with florals and dried herbs. A hint of animal skins. An appealing and alluring Pinot Noir nose. The palate is seamless, a soft texture with cushiony tannins. There is also fresh acidity and good length with lovely raspberry notes emerging across the palate. Lots to like here." - 93 Points, Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot
