Description
Delicate and fresh, this is the perfect Sunday afternoon or supper wine. It’s not too heavy which makes it very user friendly and easy drinking. Succulent plummy fruit and soft tannins are the focus of this lovely red. Serve it chilled to enhance the delicious fruit and freshness.
The Beaujolais-Villages "Combe aux Jacques" is vinified the same way as the other wines from the region: with a semi carbonic maceration. Our Beaujolais-Villages yield comes from three sources. One portion of our wine comes from the Régnié cru, another portion is purchased from quality wine maker, and the last is a portion of purchased grapes which we vinify ourselves in our dedicated winery in the south of Beaujolais.
"The long maceration will allow a good extraction. The wine will have a good structure and will therefore be able to age several years. This Beaujolais Villages "Combe aux Jacques" must be drunk quite cool in order to protect the delicious aromas of fruit and the delicate freshness that characterize this wine." - Frederic Barnier, Winemaker.
