Description
The Bera Family Farm was established in 1979 by husband-and-wife team, Valter and Alida Bera, now joined by second generation brothers, Umberto, and Riccardo Bera. The picturesque winery is located in the scenic Piedmont region of Italy within the Langhe area between Alba and Asti. The winemaking tradition stretches back centuries in the Bera family and the passion and preservations of the vineyard remains the core of their existence since it was first tended to in the 50's.
"The 2023 Bera Barbera d’Alba is a mid‑weight red with a deep ruby hue and garnet reflections. Aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, and subtle herb notes like rosemary and wet gravel lead seamlessly into the palate, where juicy dark berries, black olive tapenade, and a touch of licorice mingle with fine, juicy tannins. Bright acidity keeps it fresh and food-friendly, while a long, moreish finish highlights its harmony and structure." - Importer's Notes
