The Ménards area is located in the village of Viré. The hillside is steep with east/south-east exposure, and the soil is composed of shallow red clays on limestone bedrock. Our plot is over 80 years old which allows controlled yields and therefore wines of great density. The slow and natural winemaking takes place in oak barrels with indigenous yeasts and bacteria for a total fermenting time of 24 months.
