Description
"A slightly riper though again reasonably fresh nose combines notes of black raspberry liqueur, cassis and warm earth along with a similar array of floral elements. The rich, delicious and intense larger-bodied flavors also conclude in a dusty, focused and youthfully austere finale. This could use better depth but the underlying material appears to be present for that to gradually occur if given a chance." - 91-94 Points, Burghound (Barrel Sample)
"The 2022 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, containing 100% whole bunches, has a well-defined bouquet that effortlessly disguises the stem addition. Struck flint and light graphite notes seep through the mainly black fruit, developing a subtle floral scent with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp flintiness on the entry and a silver bead of acidity. It is very proportioned and focused on the finish. This is another cuvée that is leaps and bounds superior to the 2021, and it should age with style in bottle." - 94-96 Points, Neal Martin, Vinous
