Description / Reviews

"Very spicy for a dry Nahe riesling with plenty of mandarin orange and peach stone fruit. Strikingly dry and firm with ample structure, then a long zesty and mouthwatering finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification. Drink or hold. Screw cap." - 91 points, Stuart Pigott for James Suckling

"Characterful dry Riesling from vines aged 15 to 30 years old on the steeply sloping vineyards of the middle Nahe region. The vines grow in stony, weathered volcanic soils of porphyry and melaphyr in particular, with certain amounts of slate and quartzite. Fermented and matured in stainless steel vats and large oak barrels. Wonderfully fresh and well defined, elegant with a tingling minerality. A delicious wine for every day with moderate alcohol and very soothing acidity." - Cellarhand, Importer's notes

"The 2022 Riesling was harvested in the lateral valley of Oberhausen, on south-east-facing slopes of volcanic origin and in the younger vines of the top south-facing sites. It was fermented in stainless steel only. It opens with opulent, ripe yellow stone fruit, pear peel and initially, even a tropical overtone of pineapple, which tones down again. The slender, light palate is of equal fruitiness, bright, very juicy, tapering towards vivid, lemony, citric freshness on the dry finish. (Bone-dry)" - Anne Krebiehl MW for Vinous
