Description

"The wine is made from fruit sourced from vineyards in the Coal River (15%) and Derwent (75%) Valleys, along with the North West (8%) and Channel (2%) regions. It is predominantly whole berry (8% whole bunch), fermented with natural yeast, and held on skins for 16–21 days. The wine is then pressed directly to oak (6% new) for maturation and bottled unfined and unfiltered." - Mewstone Winery

"One of Tasmania’s pound for pound (or dollar for dollar) best value to quality Pinot Noir’s? You’d suggest it would have a fighting chance to be in the conversation. Such a great expression of Southern Tasmanian Pinot Noir, sourced from growers they have established long term relationships with, perhaps poetically one could even describe them as symbiotic enabling them to produce this superb regional wine." - Franc About Wine
