We have one very exciting opportunity coming up in late May for all fans and followers of a name that exudes Australian wine royalty - a special evening masterclass with Henschke!
In honour of their latest 2021 single vineyard releases that are set to launch in early May, we will have Henschke's Senior Winemaker Gwyn Olsen at our Education Centre on the evening of Tuesday the 27th of May, taking attendees through such iconic labels like the Cyril Henschke, Wheelwright, Mount Edelstone, and of course Hill of Grace, comparing these new efforts alongside some very special years from the house's past.
Gwyn, a former Gourmet Traveller Young Winemaker of the Year recipient in 2014, is a true wine intellect, having studied a post-graduate degree in oenology at the University of Adelaide, and having subsequently completed vintages in the Languedoc, Bordeaux's Saint-Émilion and Burgundy. With some recent stints in New Zealand (Villa Maria) and NSW (McWilliams), she made the move to the Eden Valley ahead of the 2023 vintage to join the Henschke family - her passion and expertise will on full display come the night! We look forward to welcoming her, and hearing about how the 2021's stack up against some iconic back vintages.
