2020 Agincourt Cabernet Malbec - $108 on special ; $115 RRP
// 75% Cabernet, 25% Malbec
"Perfume is the signature of this wine with lifted bramble and redcurrant fruits. Bright fruit flavours include cranberry, mulberries and blueberries. Fresh nettle presents a leafy lift and clove spices dance with vibrant acidity and the elegant fruit drive. The Malbec brings the energy and bright crunch to the wine." - Winemaker Notes
"Medium depth purple-red colour, bright but not especially deep, the bouquet showing cabernet cassis and toasty cedary oak touches, while the wine is refined and elegant on the tongue, with medium weight and good intensity, the acidity refreshing the finish. A stylish and effortlessly charming wine." - 95 Points, Huon Hooke, The Real Review
2020 Underhill Shiraz - $120 on special ; $133 RRP
"Perfumed cool climate Shiraz; deliciously medium bodied with a lick of aniseed spice. Bright red and blue plum fruits bring a fresh energy to the palate and some char and spice layering in structure and complexity. As always from this block we see some cured meat and a smoke-char interest driving the back palate. Medium weighted fruit with oak just a faint seasoning." - Winemaker Notes
"A very bright, medium crimson purple. A riotous amalgam of aromas including blueberries, potpourri, licorice root, Szechuan pepper and caraway seeds. Medium bodied and elegant, this has terrific viscosity and the tannins are oh, so powdery and fine. Gorgeous now and over the next 10 years or longer." - 97 Points, Philip Rich, James Halliday Wine Companion

2020 Dry Red No. 2 - $120 on special ; $133 RRP
// Shiraz 96% Mataro 3% Viognier 1%
"A complex and layered wine; sweet and savoury all at once. The fragrance is a melting pot of violets, plums, savoury spices and a whiff of bramble and five spice. Moderate in weight; the summer pudding fruits come in all colours dialling up the flavour interest. There is cigar box and cardamom spice lending intrigue. Firm yet fine tannins ably support the fruit and texture drive the palate. This one is hard to put in a box, there is so much to love." - Winemaker Notes
"A deep crimson red. Concentrated with redcurrants, satsuma plums and blackberries along with fennel seed, olive tapenande, dark chocolate powder and a little fresh vanilla from the oak. A complete wine on the palate with its dark sour-cherry fruit, a slight savoury edge and firm, very fine tannins providing the structure for this to age well into the decade and beyond." - 96 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
2020 Dry Red No. 1 - $135 on special ; $149 RRP
// Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 20%, Malbec 15%, Petit Verdot 5%
"The cool 2020 season presents as summer berry fruits with some bay leaf adding a background herbal lift. Mixed spice and a whisper of oak; all in balance. Beautiful fruit, a bright acid drive and tannins that form a solid foundation for a long future. Complex but not intimidating, always exciting to watch evolve." - Winemaker Notes
"A deep, bright crimson-purple hue. Essence of great cabernet with its core of blackcurrant and boysenberry fruit, as well as a complex assortment of cardamon, coriander seed, black tea and gentle, fresh tobacco leaf. Just as good on the detailed, layered and persistent palate. There is a coolness and restraint to the cassis fruit that builds, culminating in a long, chalky tannin finish. A complete and beautiful wine." - 97 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
2020 Carrodus Cabernet Sauvignon - $248 on special ; $275 RRP
"Blackcurrants, graphite, bay leaf, energy, purity, precision, youthful yet with fruit volume." - Winemaker Note
From the 1969-planted cabernet from the southwest corner of the No 1 block. Destemmed and crushed into the 600kg Yarra Yering fermenters, with some extended maceration before maturation in French barrels for 15 months (30% new). A deep crimson purple. An incredibly complex nose with its core of fresh blackcurrant and cherry as well as cassis, graphite, bay leaf, black olive and cedar from the perfectly handled and already integrated oak. Darkly fruited on the palate, this iron fist in a velvet glove textured and structured wine is worth every cent of its lofty asking price. - 98 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
