Description
"Made from two vineyards, one in the foothills above Healesville, the other perched on the western edge of the valley in Kangaroo Ground. Both bring their unique style to the blend - Healesville is more bright, red fruited and more elegant, whilst the KG fruit provides muscle, darker fruit profile and ‘pinosity’ in spades. Matured for 8 months in both neutral and new (15%) 500L Burgundian puncheons before bottling without fining and only light, lenticular filtration More silken and juicy than prior vintages, but ready to drink early with that seductive 'Pinot fragrance’ and abundant deep red cherries, blue fruits, rhubarb and tilled earth over subtle malt-like oak" - Winemaker Notes
"Bright medium depth of red-purple colour, the bouquet sweetly ripe, bold and very varietal, with dark-cherry and plum, plus smoky toasty aromas, the palate has medium depth and finishes with some gritty tannin. Lovely pinot noir and good value." - Huon Hooke, The Real Review
