"Gemischtersatz is a category of dry, refreshing white wine grown around Vienna in Austria. The Austrian wine contains as many as ten or eleven varieties as a field blend, which is intended to mitigate viticultural risk. Our 2025 boasts four varieties: Pinot gris, Riesling, Sauvignon blanc & Sylvaner and is from several upper King Valley sites. It's a refreshing, dry and crisp wine, in which we hope we’ve respected the traditional style." - Winemaker Notes

The perfect amount of texture, the perfect delivery of flavour, the balance and the finish. It does all the basics well, and delivers them in seamless fashion. It presents an orchard of apples, citrus and nashi pear flavours, a spray of herbs, whispers of lychee and white flowers and an all-round squeaky feel.
