"Very deep, dark, glass-staining red/purple colour. The bouquet is very oaky and savoury, with coconut and toasty-barrel, mocha and espresso coffee notes. A massive wine, loaded with tannins - but they’re ripe, supple tannins - while the flavour is concentrated and strongly oak-infused. Brandied prunes in the aftertaste. The sheer weight and power of the wine means it almost handles the huge alcohol strength. This wine demands more time, and will reward the patient. It has massive potential."
