The Estate Grenache has beautiful shape, with tightly wound tannin around a core of red fruit, spice and dried flowers. The spread of fine, almost sandy tannin; the bloom of red licorice, red cherry and strawberry-like fruit flavour; the spice notes coming at you like a hand net flung out across the bay; the way orange peel notes curl and flutter; the way tannin – I’m onto the tannin again – emerges like skin off the flesh and the bone of the wine proper.
