"This wine is always vintaged and only 12 vintages have been released so far : 1990, 1993, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2012, 2013. This thirteenth vintage, AYALA Perle 2015, marks the thirty year anniversary of this exceptional cuvée bottled in very limited quantities." - Ayala, Winemaker

"To the eye, an intense and brilliant gold with delicate bubbles. AYALA Perle 2015 unveils a complex nose : aromas of toasted bread, mild tobacco and hazelnut followed by notes of dried flowers with a hint of eucalyptus, characteristic of Pinots from Aÿ. On the palate, we discover notes of candied citrus fruits, typical from the Côte des Blancs but creating the surprise in a vintage as warm as 2015. The tasting continues with notes of cocoa and dried fruits. All tasting long, beautiful bitters structure the wine which shows a great length. A subtle balance between freshness, complexity and generosity." - Julian Gout, Cellar Master

"Made exclusively from five grands crus in the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims: Chouilly, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger and Aÿ. This vintage celebrates the 30th anniversary of La Perle cuvée that has been produced only 12 times. Hand-riddled and manually disgorged. Aged for 8 years. Dosage 5 g/l.
Lively, lemony, fruity champagne that has much more fruit than many an Extra Brut. Very fine bead. Tense and rewarding. More fruit than the Dom Pérignon 1996 served alongside but very refreshing, too." - 17.5/20, Jancis Robinson

"This is the top Champagne from this producer, based in Aÿ. Beautifully aged with a toasty aroma and a fine balance of maturity and freshness, the wine has a crispness, dry like all the wines from this producer and giving great definition of green fruits, acidity and toast. Drink now." - 95 Points, Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
