Description / Reviews

"All estate fruit and made with 15% whole bunches. A medium, bright ruby. Dark fruits, spice and a little oak lead onto the mouth-coating, firmly structured palate. Still quite closed, as you'd expect, but this will all come together over the next six months or so." - 91 points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion

"Such a pleasure. This is a lovely expression of Pinot Noir. It’s earthen and undergrowth-y and cherried and spicy, with squeaky/grapey tannin and a keen juiciness through the finish. 100% yes to this. This wine has Bannockburn written all over it." - 93 points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

"A blend of three sites, each parcel fermented with indigenous yeast, around 15% whole bunch, including a portion of carbonic maceration, matured for 7 months in hogsheads, with 15% new oak. Aromas of raspberries, cherries, and brambly fruits combine with a lively, energetic character and a delicate rose petal perfume, making the wine immediately inviting. The palate is supple and textural, continuing the riot of berries with hints of spice, while fine, persistent tannins provide structure and balance. Layered and elegant, the wine carries through to a long, refined finish, showing charm and sophistication well beyond its price point." - Bannockburn, Winemaker
