Description / Reviews
"Dinner arrives well past midnight – a thinly-sliced duck salad that is both sumptuous and gratefully refreshing. Sultry, lively dancing follows beneath a veil of jasmine and the hum of cicadas. Each of this summer’s four wines is a vibrant ode to the season, when the senses are at their most piqued. Carbonic Pinot Noir is as translucent as garnet and fresh as an onshore breeze but as dense and weighted as a hot night on cool sands." - BK, Winemaker
"Spice and nuance here. Carbonic maceration extends the freshness of pinot noir beyond its usual boundaries, engaging a chill-and-swill opportunity for fun-seekers. Alpine berries, pine needles, red cherry and fresh figs; refreshment is dialled high. Still, there is something subtly debonair to its profile, with the flavours of musk, clove and pithy ruby grapefruit bunched up within. Its persistent yet fine tannins drive it forward confidently. It is many things, but mostly a delicious blueprint for a light dry red." - 93 Points, Katrina Butler
