Description / Reviews
"Champagne Bollinger is delighted to present a new edition of Bollinger PN: the PN TX20 – a 100% Pinot Noir champagne, predominantly from the Tauxières terroir and the 2020 base year. This is complemented by various reserve wines from other years and crus, creating an exceptional harmony.
"Bollinger has climbed to new heights of late, with a keen investment in improved viticulture and vineyard management. This wine is an acknowledgement of its efforts, named TX after the Tauxières site, a select parcel of pinot noir from the Montagne de Reims. It is a serious wine. 50% of the base wine is from the 2020 vintage, the balance reserve wine from the 2008 and 2012 vintages. The bead is fine and the carry pearlescent, reminiscent of oyster shell – flush and glassy. Aromas of green apple, croissant, peach, white pepper and pork floss encircle a lively heart of acidity, a steely savouriness anchoring texture and weight. Fresh quince through the finish. As for value, the maison has nailed it. Closure: Screw cap. 12.5% alcohol. (Drink by 2040)" - 95 Points, Katrina Butler, Halliday Wine Companion
