"The Poyanne Château, part of the production of Albert Schweitzer Vineyards is a very old part of the town of Gauriac, it was classified as "Cru Bourgeois" in 1855. Purchased in 1962 this area was completely replanted to raise the overall quality of vines. This terroir holds hills of limestone, coated with silt, and holds a careful selection of grapes.
