Description / Reviews
"The Premier Cru Les Folatières is located on the western slope of the village of Puligny-Montrachet, with an average gradient (10%), at an altitude of between 250 and 273 meters, and a southeast exposure.
The soil, reddish-brown in color and 40 to 60 centimeters thick, is very rich in white limestone with angular fractures.
The subsoil of Les Folatières consists of very compact limestone, which crumbles into thick slabs, quarried as marble under the name Pierre de Chassagne." - Domaine Dujac, Winemaker
"A ripe and moderately exotic nose offers up notes of spicy white peach and citrus confit along with plenty of floral elements. The sleeker and more vibrant medium-bodied flavors possess a notably more sophisticated palate impression as well as an overt stoniness that adds to the appeal of the agreeably dry, persistent and balanced finish where a touch of austere eventually emerges." - 90-93 Points, Allen Meadows, Burghound
