"These terraces, nestled on the steep, south-facing slopes of the Scharrach, are made up of oolitic limestone pebbles. The 20-year-old vineyard is planted on narrow terraces where only the vines and a few herbal tea plants grow. It is a robust and full-bodied wine. The sunny nose is reminiscent of hazelnut, almond, and dried fruit. The mouth is full and salivating." - Etienne Loew, Winemaker
"The 2022 Riesling Suessenberg was grown on oolitic limestone, a Jurassic formation warmer than its Triassic counterpart. It spent 18 months on gross less. A touch of lemon oil is shy on the nose, which is almost closed. The palate is concentrated, bright and strait-laced.
