On the palate though there is slightly more size and weight to the medium weight flavors with even more evident minerality adding a sense of lift to the balanced, long and more austere finale. "The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru has a nicely detailed, marine-influenced bouquet that opens beautifully in the glass, revealing light seaweed scents with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine delineation and gentle grip, as just a touch of espresso tinctures dark berry fruit and a nuance of tobacco emerges on the finish.
