Description
"Here too the nose of red and dark cherry is both fresh and bright with a broader range of floral elements. Once again the medium weight flavors possess a beguiling texture that contrasts moderately with the firm, youthfully austere and firm finale. This solidly persistent effort could also use better depth so at least a few years of cellaring are recommended." - 89-91 points, Allen Meadows, Burghound
"Cask sample. Mid crimson. Beautifully scented, as Morey can be. Sweet-fruited and floral. Juicy, smooth and with more fruit at the core than some in this vintage. Generous and harmonious." - 16.5/20, Jancisrobinson.com
"The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Vieilles Vignes comes from three lieux-dits within the appellation. The bouquet offers finely delineated blackberry, raspberry and forest floor scents, with just a hint of melted tar in the background. The palate is medium-bodied, rounded and fleshy with pliant tannins. It's just missing a little grip on the finish. This is more early-drinking." - 88-90 points, Neal Martin, Vinous
