Description
With 2022 being a warm dry year for Chablis all-around, it's a vintage that really preserves and accentuates the fruit from the Premier Cru of Montee de Tonnerre in sublime fashion. Opposite to the Montmains' fine detail and light-footedness, this is a part of Chablis that can really allow for some more grain and thrust. There's a persistence of well-tuned herbal accents, married with wet stone and white pepper, though it certainly doesn't lack on its fruit either, with those more serious flavours lifted up by ripe peach, grapefruit and ginger. The hints of spiced oak on the long finish polishes the package off like a dream. Fans of Chablis on the more bodyful side of things should have no problem feeling smitten with this one, with great potential to expand further over the next decade - Our Notes
