// Biodynamic Chenin Blanc, Saumur

"The Chenin des Rouillères was born in 2009, on a particular land at the eastern end of the Anjou appellation but also at the western border of the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellation. Sandy-gravelly in nature, a white clay subsoil stands out in depth. A Chenin of pure expression, entirely faithful to its vintage, its terroir and its master. Very low dose suffers, it is the immediate reflection of the grape. Very low dose of sulphur, it is the immediate reflection of the grape. This Chenin adapts to all situations and even if all the winds are opposite, it will never let you down.

With its light yellow colour and brilliant green-gold reflections, its floral nose will not leave you indifferent and will make you want to go further. Well-balanced, the mouth is round and fresh, with notes of pear, acacia and lime blossom." - Frederic Mabileau, Winemaker

"Certified biodynamic (Biodyvin). One-third of the fruit has a few days on the skins. Aged in 50-hectolitre foudre on the lees. Wild aroma of quince and cedar. Light impression of wild grasses. Lovely creamy texture perfectly balanced by the crisp acidity. Long and vibrant. Gently chewy texture adds to the length. Texturally complex and long." - 17/20 Points, Julia Harding MW, JancisRobinson.com (2022 Vintage)
