Description / Reviews
"Fruit from East-west (Monomeith), north-south (Little Creek),North (Basket Range), South-east & South-west (Scary Gully) and North (Uraidla) vineyards. Mostly 20% whole cluster open top fermentation for three weeks, but the blend includes some shorter macerated 100%-whole-bunch fermentation barrels. Eight months in French oak barriques and puncheons, 15% new." - Winemaker Notes
"Swathes of black cherry, a scattering of souk spice, with vital red fruits at heart. This is clean feeling and generous, with freeze-dried raspberry and fresh mushroom, a touch of earthy coconut shell and black cardamom. Red apple skin, too. The refreshment factor is dialled up, bringing immediate drinking satisfaction, and the tannins feel pumice-like, porous in nature, revitalising." - 95 Points, Katrina Butler, Halliday Wine Companion
