Description / Reviews
"2024 will be remembered as a vintage of distinction, with fabulous growing conditions that yielded fruit of superb quality. The Oulton Vineyard is our lowest and most protected – a place where ripeness is achieved via some of the most idyllic growing conditions. A lifted bouquet of bright red fruits—think fresh raspberries, red currants, and cranberry—interwoven with wild bramble and raspberry cane. Beneath the vibrant fruit lies an earthy, savoury core, offering subtle hints of tomato stem, dried herbs, and sassafras leaf. The texture is supple, with fine-grained tannins and a vibrant acid line that carries the wine to a lingering, peppery finish. There's a gentle tension here—elegant, expressive, and savoury. A wine for the pinophiles, no doubt." - Winemaker Notes
"It’s silky and cool, an almost alpine feel to this wine. Cool cherry juice, some fine, less crisp cranberry drink, blueberry juice. touches of sage leaf, a bit of salt bush, white pepper and faint clove. It feels very even, fine boned, ultra youthful, if not a little to frisky and fine right now, needing a bit of time to relax off its energy and tangy nature. That being said, it has a brightness and approachability right now. Go on." - 93+ Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
