"Violet, vineyard dust, perfumed talcum powder, graphite and wild berry are just some of the aromas you'll find on the fantastic and fragrant 2021 Brunello from Gorelli. Showing great intensity and precision, the focused palate features succulent red cherry, star anise, crushed mint and a hint of blood orange before a truffle finish. It's already balanced but still youthfully austere so give it plenty of time to fully develop. Drink 2031-2046." - 98 Points, Kerin O'Keefe
"In Montalcino’s northern sector, the Gorelli estate is comprised of two separate plots totalling 6.5ha. Predominantly cool clay soils are juxtaposed with a warm southwest exposure. Rather lifted to begin with, the 2021 leads with heady floral and leather top notes; medicinal herbs and damp earth kick in as it sits in the glass. Layered and vigorous, the palate demonstrates great tension with citrussy acidity and tightly screwed tannins. It's bitter and chalky on the finish, with a hint of wood sticking out. Give it another year or so in bottle for it to come together." - 93 Points, Michaela Morris, Decanter
