"Barrel fermented exclusively in French oak barriques (40% new) for 8 months; only partial natural malolactic fermentation. A striking counterpoint to its Piccadilly sibling, this debut Lenswood expression leads with bright, fresh lemon and citrus notes underscored by a distinctive talc-like minerality. Made identically to the Piccadilly — eight months French oak, partial malo — the wine reveals how profoundly terroir shapes the final expression. The palate is notably fresh with full texture: taut where Piccadilly is layered, linear where Piccadilly expands. A compelling study in sub-regional character." - Winemaker Notes

"You can almost hear this wine purr. It tastes of pears, grapefruit, cashews and cedar; it builds texture, power and flavour into an elegant frame; it has that extra emphasis through the finish to reinforce its overall quality. This is both a refined chardonnay and a luxurious one." - 95 Points, Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front

"This has all the hallmarks of great chardonnay in a more delicate and pure vein. It's redolent of flint and wisps of struck match, red apple, lime juice, lemongrass, faint marzipan and brioche, with touches of green almond and hazelnut in tow. Very energetic and racy on the palate, yet a touch glossy, too. Exceptional in length and persistence, with distinct floral notes lifting the wine. Sleek and elegant is the message." - 95 Points, Mike Bennie, Halliday Wine Companion
