"A savoury and classic Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir, expected to show red cherry, wild strawberry, spice, earth, subtle florals and fine tannins. The style is characterful and textured, with the elegance and aromatic detail typical of Pinot Noir from the Côte de Nuits. Domaine Jacques Cacheux et Fils is a small Vosne-Romanée producer farming 7 hectares across some of the Côte de Nuits’ most respected sites. Family holdings include Echezeaux Grand Cru, Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru Les Suchots, the rare La Croix Rameau Premier Cru beside Romanée-Saint-Vivant, and village lieux-dits such as Les Chalandins, Les Ormes, Aux Réas and Les Raviolles. The domaine is now run by Pascal Cacheux. The wines are fully destemmed, cold macerated for around one week, fermented with natural yeasts and bottled without fining or filtration, producing Burgundy with flavour, intensity and enduring character." - JC Fine Wines
