Description / Reviews

"Fermented and matured in French barriques (25% new). Still as fresh as a daisy, proving beyond doubt that this blend can handle - indeed be improved by - cellaring for 5+ years, for it's got a way to go yet. It is tilted towards the green capsicum/snow pea end of the spectrum, citrus and oak taking it across the bridge to gooseberry and guava nuances." - 95 Points, James Halliday, Halliday Wine Companion

"Ed Tomlinson is a great bloke and Lenton Brae should be more on the radar of fine wine lovers, particularly enthusiasts of Margaret River. The estate vineyard is located in Wilyabrup, Margaret River and is the epicentre of the whole operation. They first produced wines under the Lenton Brae label in 1987. This is the 29th consecutive semillon sauvignon blanc from Lenton Brae. The fruit is pretty much all co-fermented.

It’s lean and racy and very refreshing. Citrus scents matched to green bean, nettles, grassiness. It’s a pleasing way to kick off things. Tight and crisp in the palate, drives with great energy in a needle-shaped thrust across the palate. Great balance and mesh of flavours. Finishes very mouthwatering. Great drinking here" - 92 Points, Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
