Description
"The later release is really sitting well on this wine, with aromas of lime sherbet and barley sugar leaping from the glass. A little generosity through the mid-palate but the characteristic zippy acid and fined-boned structure of the Caveat site drawing it all back in on the finish. Fresh but seductive." - Winemaker Notes
"From a vineyard planted in '82. Fermented and matured in concrete only and picked a touch earlier than the RS3. The result is a very different wine. Restrained and focused, with aromas of pure lime. Paradoxically, it tastes drier, too, despite the slightly higher sugar level. Both are superb examples of fine-boned, pure-fruited rieslings, and it'll be fascinating to see how they both evolve over the next 10-plus years. My money is on this wine to be both the most long lived and complex of the two." - 97 Points, Philip Rich, Halliday Wine Companion
